Common Lamenesses Seminar

Participants gathered on September 22, 2013 for education on the topic of Common Lamenesses, an all too common experience shared by horsemen of all disciplines.  Dr. Shalyn Crawford presented extensive information on anatomy, lameness exam format, what to watch for when evaluating soundness, prevention, and lameness diagnostics.  Two of SWS school horses, Alvin and Maggie, served as models for the event to demonstrate anatomy and correct gait, and proper bandaging practices.  Light fare was provided for the mid afternoon event, including fresh fruit, cheese and vegetable trays, crackers, hot apple cider, cookies, and apples for the horses.  Cost was $25/person, and all clinic participants left the farm educated and enlightened.  We look forward to the next Sunday Seminar!
